Dear Zhou,

Thank you for submitting your manuscript to Clinical and Experimental Dermatology. Please submit your revised manuscript online at https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/ced. Your manuscript will be listed in your Author Centre under 'Manuscripts to be Revised'. Before clicking the manuscript title to begin uploading your revised manuscript file(s) please:

1) Underline the areas of text that you have changed in the revised version of the manuscript or alternatively, change the font colour to red in the areas of text that have been modified.

2) Respond to any attached reviewer comments, point by point.

3) Respond to any further issues raised in this e-mail, point by point.

Interesting observations but based on the current literature, it is likely that the increased SAA in urticaria compared to healthy controls is an epiphenomenon rather than pathogenic. Like CPR, SAA appears to be an non-specific marker of systemic inflammation. The manuscript could be resubmitted as a concise report where the authors ought to further elaborate on the practical implications of their study findings.
