For every person who wants to stay in Germany for more than 3 months, he needs to do several things
1. Register the accommodation address
This should be done within 2 weeks from the arrival in Germany.
2. Open a bank account
You can choose any banks you want. There are some big banks, like Deutsche Bank, Commerze Bank, or local government-owned bank like Sparkasse.
3. Register an Insurance
In this case there are several private insurances that you can consider: Mawista, educare24, etc. You can do it online, but you should have a bank account already.
此外，尽快按照留学基金委要求到中国驻德国大使馆报到登记。
大使馆根据报到提供的银行账户发放生活补助，每次发放连续三个月的生活补助。而且一般会提前发放，所以不必担心，当然，你必须按要求汇报最近连续三个月的访学情况。
