PhD position
|
A PhD position is available in the group of WET at TU Ilmenau. The topic is about fabrication and characterization of the metallic nanoparticles and nanoalloys. We will use solid state dewetting as a simple method to fabricate the tailored metallic nanoparticles. Other combined methods of nanotechnologies will be also used. Materials characterization (XRD, SEM, FIB and TEM) and functional investigation (plasmonic and magnetic properties) will be systematically performed. Potential candidates must have an excellent Master (or equivalent) in physics or materials science, and should have solid knowledges and experiences on alloying behavior, materials characterization and nanotechnologies. Beyond the passion for and experience in research, we expect good language and communication skills in English, flexibility, focused research and the readiness to take the extra step of an interdisciplinary approach towards a PhD. contact: Dr Dong Wang, dong.wang@tu-ilmenau.de |
