[交流] Ph.D. and Postdoc Positions on Smart Manufacturing - UCF

The Intelligent Manufacturing Systems Laboratory in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) has a Ph.D. and a Postdoctoral Scholar openings. The Postdoc position is available immediately, will be open until the opening is filled. The Ph.D. opening is available for the Spring or Fall 2018 semester.

The research focus of this lab is to develop new computational methods and tools for smart manufacturing systems using sensing and artificial intelligence technologies. Example research thrust areas include (1) data-driven smart manufacturing; (2) real-time manufacturing process monitoring, diagnostics, and prognostics; (3) reliability engineering and quality control; (4) cyber-physical systems. Desired skills include signal/image processing, machine learning, statistics, applied mathematics, engineering optimization or engineering physics.

For the Postdoc position, an ideal candidate is expected to have an earned Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field such as applied math. Previous experience in prognostics and health management, sensors, data analytics, computer programming, and process monitoring are preferred.
