White bands (ECL detection) Excessive signal generated • Reduce antibody or protein concentration as excessive quantities can cause extremely high levels of localized signal (usually at a single band), leading to rapid, complete consumption of substrate at this point - as no light can be generated after the completion of this reaction, white bands appear when exposed |
