Research Officer in Computer Vision and Machine Learning at A*STAR -------------------------------------------------------------------------- A Research Officer position in the areas of computer vision and machine learning is available in the Machine Learning for bioimage Group (https://web.bii.a-star.edu.sg/~chengli) at the Bioinformatics Institute (BII), Agency for Science and Technology Research (A*STAR). The group focuses on developing novel machine learning methods to address bioimage analysis problems. Responsibilities The successful candidate will help us in computer vision and machine learning implementations, as well as carrying out new algorithmic development. He/she will have the opportunity to work in a highly interdisciplinary and stimulating environment. Requirements • MSc or BSc (honours) in computer science and engineering, or related disciplines. • Background knowledge of computer vision and/or machine learning will be a big plus • Interests in biological sciences. Prior knowledge in biology will be a plus • Strong problem-solving skills, and able to work independently Application Procedures Applicants should send a one-page cover letter briefly describing prior research/work experience and accomplishments, and a full resume with contact information for two referees to Dr. Cheng Li (chengli@bii.a-star.edu.sg).
