Dongguk University

Dongguk University is founded in 1906 by Korea's ecumenically minded Jogye Order, Dongguk remains one of the few Buddhist affiliated universities in the world. Yet its doors have always been open to students and teachers of all faiths and philosophies.
Graduate and undergraduate students alike are exposed to the latest theories and practical training in every area of university study. Dongguk consistently ranks among Korea's top universities. Yet an equally important ingredient in any collegiate experience is development of the self, a maturing process enhanced by exposure to people of diverse backgrounds, opinions and value systems.

Background Requirement:
The candidate must have the degree of Physics, Chemistry or Materials.

Research Direction of our lab:
The synthesis of 2-D materials: graphene, MoS2, g-C3N4, BN et al.
The application of these materials: Sensor, Photocatalyst, PL et al.
The first principles calculations.

English requirement:
TOEIC 700, TOEFL PBT 550(CBT 213, IBT 79), TEPS 600, IELTS 6.0

Payment:  
PhD: The basic salary is 700,000 won (about 600 $+x) per month, and it will increase based on your work.
Master and PhD integrated: 1—3 semester 500,000 won (about 400 $+x), 4—8 semester 700,000 won (about 600 $+x).
Tuitions: All admission fees and tuitions are paid by Dongguk University.  工资会有变动,应该会多一些,我们会尽快定下来
Ps:  if you can publish more than two paper, the university will pay 1,000,000 won per paper as award.

Description of our lab:
In Professor Woochul Yang’s lab, there are two assistant professor. Then, there are two Chinese, one Vietnam student and five Korean students.
