Reporting Structure

Reports to General Manager

Overall Objectives

Responsible for developing products, technology and the Assay Discipline in the R&D Function, and lead the team composing of Assay, Instrument, Design Engineering, Process Engineering, etc.

Specific Responsibilities

Responsible for strategic managing and organising R&D functional tasks.
Responsible for planning, instructing, and completing experiments in the lab
Completes analysis of results from testing, draws conclusions and reports recommendations
Liaise with other people and departments as required
Write reports collating work to date on projects
Provides guidance, training and supervision to team members in areas of own expertise
Participates and presents in project team meetings and reviews etc.
Manages training and development to team and ensure compliant with QMS and EHS&S requirements

Person Specification

BSc in a relevant science subject
Understanding of GLP, GMP and regulatory requirements
Able to communicate to groups and individuals both Chinese and English verbally and in writing
Able to lead groups to achieve functional objectives
Demonstrates understanding of QMS system and requirements
Is a team player
Able to organise self and others
Oversee the work of Technicians
Able to training others and shares knowledge
Able to delegate tasks to Technicians
Able to learn new techniques
Demonstrates understanding of R&D to manufacture
Ability to use some analytical equipment and analytical thinking
Computer literate (able to use word, spreadsheet, emails etc.
Over 6 years solid experience in bioscience industry.
