| In the first step, SBA-15 (0.5 g) waspumped to a vacuum of 10−4Torr with a rotary mechanical pump toremove water molecules, nitrogen and other contaminations fromthe pores of SBA-15. An aqueous solution of Cs2CO3(Alfa Aesar)was introduced under vacuum according to the HPW loading atCs+/HPW molar ratio of 2.5. Then the system was allowed to returnto atmosphere pressure, and HPW was impregnated into the chan-nels of SBA-15 by capillary force overnight at room temperature.Then the impregnated support was dried at 100◦C in air, followedby calcination at 500◦C for 3 h. In the second step, HPW was impreg-nated using H3PW12O40¡¤nH2O (Alfa Aesar) aqueous solution in asimilar way to form Cs2.5H0.5PW12O40(CsPW). According to theHPW loading (w in wt%), the final catalyst samples were denotedas wHPW/Cs-SBA. |
