【2017-09-17】第八届原子和分子团簇理论国际会议

北京化工大学拟于2017年9月17日至22日在北京举办“第八届原子和分子团簇理论国际会议”，英文名称“8th International Conference on Theory of Atomic & Molecular Clusters (TAMC VIII)”。 https://www.tamc2017.org 在自然科学中，原子和分子团簇是介于原子、分子与宏观固体物质之间的物质结构的新层次，涉及到许多物质运动过程和现象，如催化、燃烧、晶体生长、成核和凝固、相变、溶胶、薄膜形成和溅射等。团簇科学属于多学科交叉的范畴，从原子分子物理、凝聚态物理、量子化学、表面科学、材料科学等学科的概念及方法交织在一起，形成了当前团簇研究的中心议题。原子和分子团簇理论国际会议被认为是团簇理论研究领域国际上最重要的会议，被誉为团簇理论领域的“奥运会”。 该会议截至到2017年已经成功举办7届。第1次原子和分子团簇理论国际会议(TAMC I)始于1993年的德国累尔，每3-5年举行一次。后面第2-7次分别在美国丰塔纳（TAMC II, 1996），德国柏林（TAMC III, 1999），法国图卢兹（TAMC IV, 2004），美国里士满（TAMC V, 2007）, 墨西哥墨西哥城（TAMC VI, 2010）, 英国伯明翰（TAMC VII, 2013）。此次会议是这一系列会议第一次在非欧美国家举行。 TAMC VIII Conference Announcement The 8th International Conference on Theory of Atomic & Molecular Clusters Beijing, China Sep. 17 to Sep. 22, 2017 https://www.tamc2017.org The 8th International Conference on Theory of Atomic & Molecular Clusters ( https://www.tamc2017.org/ ) will be held in Beijing, China, from Sep. 17 to Sep. 22, 2017, and it will take place at Beijing Friendship Hotel, Beijing, China. The TAMC meetings have been going on for 24 years, and TAMC VIII follows the previous conferences in Leer (Germany, 1993), Lake Geneva (USA, 1996), Berlin (Germany, 1999), Toulouse (France, 2004), Richmond (USA, 2007), Mexico City (Mexico, 2010), and Birmingham (UK, 2013). This will be the first time that the meeting will be held outside Europe or America. The conference will highlight developments of theoretical methods and concepts and applications of theory to experiment in cluster and nano science. There will be invited talks, talks selected from contributed abstracts, posters and the roundtable discussions.
