| Kiwifruit is consumed wildly across the world, however, plant growth is threatening by abiotic stresses such as drought and high temperature. Niacin treatment in plants has been shown to increase NADPH levels which enhanced abiotic stresses tolerance. Here, we discussed the effect of spraying niacin solution on NADPH levels in two kiwifruit cultivars, Hayward and Xuxiang. We found that spraying niacin solution promoted NADPH and NADP+ levels, decreased O2·- production and H2O2 contents in leaves over a short period. |
