Synthesis a series of 2-alkyl substitutive imidazole salt CILs and corresponding two hydrogenation imidazole salt CILs starting from chiral amines was reported in 2005 by Ge′nisson, etc. The type of CILs owns very low melting Point, snd owns potential application value in asymmetric Synthesis. In 2005, alkylation Ⅳ-methylimidazole was carried out with chiral alkylation reagent and a kind of CILs with nature of liquid crystal was synthesized by Baro, etc

Deng等在2005年分别以咪唑、吡啶及PPh,和磺酸内酯为原料合成了系列的带有磺酰氯的FACLs,该离子液体为强酸性物质,可以作为许多酸催化反应的介质或催化剂。Varma等在2005年报道了利用微波促进,无溶剂法制备以二烷基咪唑盐为阳离子,InCl4-为阴离子的FAILs,该法具有操作简便,环境友好等优点。他们利用该离子液体为催化剂。在微波促进下对醇进行四氢吡喃化来保护羟基,取得了很好的结果。对于具有Bronsed酸性的FALLs一般都需在普通离子液体中引入质子源。Cole等在2002年首次报道了具有较强Bronsed酸性的FAILs的合成。
    近年来,作为环境友好型绿色溶剂的离子液体,已受到世界各国的广泛关注,它在不同的领域都有潜在的应用价值。人们已经开发出多种手性离子液体,它们的应用研究也已经起步。除了开发特殊的功能和应用,降低手性离子液体的成本也是其发展的关键。合成时需要优先考虑的是手性源的选择,使用天然手性源作为起始原料将是获得手性离子液体的发展方向。Lewis酸性的离子液体尤其是A1C13类离子液体的发展较早,应用也较广;相比之下,Bronsted酸性离子液体的合成才刚刚起步。从已有研究可以看到,要开发适于工业应用的酸性离子液体,应充分发挥酸性离子液体类似固体酸和液体酸的优势,还需要进一步提高Bronsted酸性离子液体的酸强度;并发展兼具Lewis和Bronsted酸性的离子液体的合成方法。设计出具有独特物理化学性质的功能化离子液体来适应各种特殊需要将是功能化离子液体未来发展的方向。
