PhD positions are available for candidate with excellent academic background and passion in research in Built Environment at the University of Reading, UK. University of Reading is Ranked TOP 5 in the area of Architecture/Built Environment in 2017 in the UK (Rank 36 globally). Research topics cover a broad spectrum of built environment, including urban microclimates, building energy efficiency, urban heat island, Indoor/outdoor air quality etc. The candidate should have an interest in built environment research, and have a strong background in mechanical engineering/ building service engineering/HVAC/Energy, environmental engineering, good knowledge on heat transfer and fluid mechanics. Previous research experience on building/urban heat transfer or CFD is preferred.
