英语近义词辨析（一）

近义词---Wait,Await Wait(v.)----“等候”，“等待”。指某事发生之前停留在原地，不采取行动。 通常此词作为不及物动词而和for连用。 Await(v.)----“等候”，“期待”。书面语。特指对于断定必来的人或事的不断的期待。后接受词。 例：We can wait here until he comes. 我们可以在此地等候他来。 How long have you been waiting?
