稀土、过渡金属以及非稀土离子掺杂的荧光玻璃在激光、闪烁体、光学放大器、显示器、照明和光通讯等光电子领域有着潜在的应用前景。目前,荧光玻璃中最常见的应用是长余辉荧光玻璃,诸如可应用在艺术、建筑、灯具玻璃等领域,荧光玻璃的另一个潜在应用是代替荧光粉,应用于白光LED的荧光玻璃,具有其独特的优势:首先在封装过程中无需使用环氧树脂,从而避免了树脂老化变黄、由此引起的发光效率降低以及色漂移等情况,具有耐高温、光稳定性好等特点;而且玻璃比封装在树脂中的荧光粉更容易回收。即更环保,再者,在玻璃相中,可以避免湿气的影响,所以具有耐湿热的功能。

Fluorescent glass whose ingredients may be rare earth elements, trasition metals or non-rare earth ions should manifest potential applicable promises in many photoelectric areas such as laser, scintillator, optic amplifier, monitor, illumination, photon communication and so on.

Currently the most popular kind of fluorescent glass is its long term subtype which could be used for decoration in art, architecture, lighting equipment. Another potential application of fluorescent glass is as surrogate of fluorescent powder.
应用于白光LED的荧光玻璃,具有其独特的优势:
The fluorescent glass used in white light LED product has some special advantages.
首先在封装过程中无需使用环氧树脂,从而避免了树脂老化变黄、由此引起的发光效率降低以及色漂移等情况,具有耐高温、光稳定性好等特点;
Firstly, no epoxide resin must be used in sealing procedure, which effectively avoids resin aging and yellow discoloration that could cut down light emission effect and cause light wavelength shift. The fluorescent glass has good thermostability and photostability.
而且玻璃比封装在树脂中的荧光粉更容易回收。即更环保,再者,在玻璃相中,可以避免湿气的影响,所以具有耐湿热的功能。
Secondly, glass material could be easily recycled instead of fluorescent powder sealed in resin tube, that is to said, fluorescent glass is more environment friendly. Furthermore, the material in glass phase could totally isolate from humidity and has moisture and heat resistance.
