| 稀土、过渡金属以及非稀土离子掺杂的荧光玻璃在激光、闪烁体、光学放大器、显示器、照明和光通讯等光电子领域有着潜在的应用前景。目前，荧光玻璃中最常见的应用是长余辉荧光玻璃，诸如可应用在艺术、建筑、灯具玻璃等领域，荧光玻璃的另一个潜在应用是代替荧光粉，应用于白光LED的荧光玻璃，具有其独特的优势：首先在封装过程中无需使用环氧树脂，从而避免了树脂老化变黄、由此引起的发光效率降低以及色漂移等情况，具有耐高温、光稳定性好等特点；而且玻璃比封装在树脂中的荧光粉更容易回收。即更环保，再者，在玻璃相中，可以避免湿气的影响，所以具有耐湿热的功能。 |

Another potential application of fluorescent glass is as surrogate of fluorescent powder. 应用于白光LED的荧光玻璃，具有其独特的优势： The fluorescent glass used in white light LED product has some special advantages. 首先在封装过程中无需使用环氧树脂，从而避免了树脂老化变黄、由此引起的发光效率降低以及色漂移等情况，具有耐高温、光稳定性好等特点； Firstly, no epoxide resin must be used in sealing procedure, which effectively avoids resin aging and yellow discoloration that could cut down light emission effect and cause light wavelength shift.
