The molecular mechanism of resistance to frost is not well recognized. Determination and variation of well known genes isolated from the genome of wild apple cultivar, which is a donor of valuable genes, and additionally cultivated in different habitats, will also give the possibility to understand the adaptation mechanisms of this species. The results obtained clearly show the diversity of expression profiles in samples collected from different habitats. Anyway it is not quite clear how the samples were prepared for genotypical/phenotypical analysis. How it was suggested in the title, the manuscript could be focused of characterization of CBF genes for different molecular aspects. The observed results strongly confirm existing data, that genes CBF 1, 2, 3, 4 are activated at the time length of low temperature exposure of seedlings in numerical order. Despite the high quality of the results, they remain inconsistent, and therefore I suggest to describe, or verify the most interesting results in another way, or divide the valuable material within two different publications. È»ºó»¹ÔÚÎÄÕÂÖиøÁËÅú×¢£ºI would suggest a different title, to show the CBF characterization by amino acids sequence analysis and sequence comparison between different species, useful for the phylogenetic tree construction. In this frame I don¡¯t see the necessity to show this data (good material for another publication) ºÍIn my opinion the samples for the expression analysis could be exposed to the temperatures lower than 4oC and the data may be included in the comparison analysis of gene expression profile and phenotypical measurements.
