a-Phenyltrifluoroacetylacetonitrile hydrate (245g ) was added to a mixture of 425 g. of 98% sulfuric acid and 250 cc. of water in a flask equipped with a dropping funnel and a 30-cm. unpacked insulated column. The mixture was heated to 160 and steam distillation from the top of the column began at 95-98 . Water was added slowly from the dropping funnel at such a rate that the volume remained constant. The temperature rose slowly and was maintained at 100-110 by adjusting the rate of addition of water. After six hours the mixture darkened and the distillate no longer gave a precipitate with 28% ammonium hydroxide. The disttillate was extracted with ether and the extract dried over sodium sulfate and fractionated.The colorless liquid ketone boiled at 51-52(2 mm.) .It weighed 146g (73%) [ Last edited by lwl913 on 2008-12-17 at 10:31 ] |

| 用漏斗将250g的a-Phenyltrifluoroacetylacetonitrile hydrate 置于425g，98%的浓硫酸和250立方厘米的水的混合液中。混合液加热到160℃，在95—98摄氏度的时候，圆柱顶部开始有蒸汽流出。在这样的速度下，通过管子缓缓加入新鲜的水，保证圆形容器的持续反应。温度慢慢的上升，调整加水量，保持温度控制在100-110，6个小时后，混合液变黑，蒸馏物不再析出含有28%的氢氧化铵沉淀。之后用醚萃取蒸馏物，通过硫酸纳干燥萃取物，使之分馏。无色液体酮的沸点在51-52（2mm），称量146g（73%） |
