Postdoctoral Research Associate (3 year fixed-term position) STRETCH project: Socio-Technical Resilience for Enhancing Targeted Community Healthcare (http://stretchproject.org <http://stretchproject.org/> ) Software Engineering & Design Group School of Computing & Communications Faculty of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) The Open University Milton Keynes, UK Salary: £29,301 to £38,183 Location: Milton Keynes (30 mins north of London) Closing Date for applications : 14 February, 2017 - 17:00 (UK time) (http://www.open.ac.uk/about/employment/vacancies/post-doctoral-research-associate-13242 <http://www.open.ac.uk/about/employment/vacancies/post-doctoral-research-associate-13242> ![]() We are looking for a Post Doctoral Research Associate to conduct software engineering research and development that will address the challenges of designing and implementing a technology infrastructure capable of monitoring the achievement of care assurances, and adapting to deliver socio-technical resilience. You will be expected to work in a multi-disciplinary team that includes software engineers, psychologists as well as health and social care professionals, and helping to coordinate the research activities of the different project partners. You will hold a PhD (or be near completion) in a relevant subject and have experience as a researcher in at least one of the following areas: collaborative systems and technologies, adaptive systems, privacy aware systems, or healthcare technologies. You will also have a track-record of publishing in internationally leading journals and conferences, and the ability to work independently as a researcher. Ideally, you will also have experience in at least one of the following: privacy research, working in interdisciplinary teams, working in a health related domain, or experience in developing UbiComp/IoT applications. The position is within the EPSRC-funded STRETCH project (Socio-Technical Resilience for Enhancing Targeted Community Healthcare, http://stretchproject.org <http://stretchproject.org/> ), which is concerned with the problem of older patients who are fit to be discharged from hospital but for one reason or another do not have sufficient monitoring or support to go home. In concert with our partners at Milton Keynes Hospital, Age UK and the University of Exeter, we will address this problem by integrating the human ‘circles of support’ (including people such as hospital clinicians, GPs, community healthcare workers, formal community support, and informal support such as neighbours and adult children) with wearables, smart homes, and other “Internet of Things” technologies to collect data from both people and devices. We will develop socio-technical systems to both collect and deliver the right data to the appropriate people at the level of detail needed. The successful candidate will work in a thriving, multidisciplinary software engineering research group, with substantial expertise and active projects in security, privacy, and digital forensics; human-computer interaction, and ubiquitous computing. The group has current or recent funding from the EU (e.g., ERC Advanced Grant on Adaptive security and Privacy, www.asap-project.eu <http://www.asap-project.eu/> , EPSRC (e.g., Privacy Dynamics, www.privacydynamics.net <http://www.privacydynamics.net/>; Monetize Me, http://www.monetizeme.org <http://www.moentizeme.org/>; and 'Why Johnny Doesn’t Write Secure Software', http://gow.epsrc.ac.uk/NGBOViewGrant.aspx?GrantRef=EP/P011799/1 <http://gow.epsrc.ac.uk/NGBOViewGrant.aspx?GrantRef=EP/P011799/1> , and worldwide (e.g., QNRF Adaptive Information Security’, http://www.adaptivesecurity.info <http://www.adpativesecurity.info/> . The group also has strong strategic collaboration links with Lero - The Irish Software Research Centre (www.lero.ie <http://www.lero.ie/> .For more information on the research and the position, please contact Blaine Price (Blaine.Price@open.ac.uk <mailto:Blaine.Price@open.ac.uk> , Arosha Bandara <arosha.bandara@open.ac.uk <mailto:arosha.bandara@open.ac.uk>>, or Bashar Nuseibeh <B.Nuseibeh@open.ac.uk <mailto:B.Nuseibeh@open.ac.uk>> including a copy of your CV if possible. An application form and job related information are available from: http://www.open.ac.uk/about/employment/vacancies/post-doctoral-research-associate-13242 <http://www.open.ac.uk/about/employment/vacancies/post-doctoral-research-associate-13242> Hard copies and access details for disabled applicants are available from the Recruitment Co-ordinator on +44 (0)1908 653485 or by email (STEM-Recruitment@open.ac.uk <mailto:STEM-Recruitment@open.ac.uk> , quoting the reference number 13242.We promote diversity in employment and welcome applications from all sections of the community. |

我们这,postdoc细分为两个层次。 fresh PhD, 一般来了后做博士后,research fellow。 三年后,干的还行的话,老板会提你做research associate。就是高级博士后。 发自小木虫Android客户端 |
