?????¤?????§??????cv ·???pengchun.yu@yale.edu?ò??yale.pengchun@gmail.com The laboratory of Dr. Michael Simons at Yale University School of Medicine is recruiting visiting students/scholars. Research in our laboratory focuses on the molecular mechanisms underlying the cardiovascular development and pathologies. To study these processes, we are employing both in-vitro tissue culture and in-vivo genetically engineered mouse models, as well as several state-of-the-art technologies, such as super-resolution imaging, metabolomic profiling and RNA-Seq. Our recent publications are as followed: Endothelial-to-mesenchymal transition drives atherosclerosis progression. Journal of Clinical Investigation. 2015 PTP1b is a physiologic regulator of vascular endothelial growth factor signaling in endothelial cells. Circulation. 2014 Physiology. Lymphatics are in my veins. Science. 2013 The neuropilin 1 cytoplasmic domain is required for VEGF-A-dependent arteriogenesis. Developmental Cell. 2013 Endothelial ERK signaling controls lymphatic fate specification. Journal of Clinical Investigation. 2013 Our laboratory localizes at the Yale Cardiovascular Research Center, which hosts 18 research groups studying various aspects of cardiovascular biology and provides a highly stimulating and collaborative environment. Ideal candidates should be able to get funded by China Scholarship Council or other funding agencies, experienced in basic techniques of molecular and cellular biology, and self-motivated. We welcome candidates from different research backgrounds; therefore prior experience on cardiovascular biology is not required.
