Postdoc Offer Available to High Performance Polymer Materials in Madrid

The research group of High Performance Polymer Nanocomposites (HPPN) in IMDEA Materials Institute in Spain is looking for 1 or 2 Research Associate (Postdoc) (PhD in Polymer Materials, Materials Science, Polymer Processing, etc.) to work in within the framework of the research projects. Project 1: The project aims at investigating High Performance Thermoset Reinforced Materials with excellent mechanical properties and lightweight. Well understanding and expertise on polymer processing, in particular the thermoset reinforced materials processing, and mechanical properties of the materials are the crucial in this project. Project 2: The project aims at investigating High Performance ABS composites with excellent mechanical properties and lightweight. Well understanding and expertise on polymer processing, in particular the thermoplastic processing (compounding, injection), polymer blending, and mechanical properties of the polymers are the crucial in this project. Requirements: Candidate should hold a PhD degree in Polymer Materials, Materials Science, or Polymer Processing (or related discipline), with excellent academic credentials. Fluent English (oral and written) is mandatory. Conditions: Full time contract including social security coverage. Duration: 1.5 year (May be extended depending on the project progress). Salary: Competitive.
