佐治亚理工学院招收能源、电化学方向CSC联培和访问学生(2017秋季）

佐治亚理工大学机械工程学院The Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology Chen Hailong教授研究组2017年秋季有意招收材料,能源和电化学方向CSC访问学生和CSC联培学生各1人。有如下研究背景之一（或多项）者优先考虑 1. 锂离子电池，钠离子电池，锂硫电池，正极或负极 2. 固体电解质和全固态电池 3. 电沉积 或电解冶金 4. X-光或电子，中子衍射晶体学，TEM/STEM 有意者请直接与Dr. Chen联系 (hailong.chen@me.gatech.edu)，请附上CV (including publications if any), 成绩单（非正式即可）和英语成绩 (TOEFL preferred). The research in Dr. Chen’s group is focused on: 1. Development of advanced in situ techniques, including in situ TEM and in situ X-ray technologies utilizing synchrotron and bench top X-ray sources (diffraction, absorption and pair distribution function analysis, etc.), and their application in structural characterization of nano-structured materials. 2. Electrochemical energy conversion and storage technologies: Li and Na ion batteries, and solid state ionic conductors and electrolytes. 3. Synthesis and characterization of novel nanostructures and nanomaterials. Design and fabrication of novel micro-scale energy devices. The lab resides on the main campus of Georgia Tech in Atlanta. The students will have good academic training and will be doing cutting-edge research in the frontiers of energy research. The students will also have opportunities to work at the national labs in the US, including Brookhaven, Argonne, Oak Ridge and Lawrence Berkeley national labs, where the world leading synchrotron and neutron sources and electron microscopes are located.
