| When heated above its glass transition temperature, the internal structure of a glass turns softened both in global and microscopic scales. In this process the bridging and non-bridging bondings among various different cations and oxygen undergo re-distribution. In microscopic regions, the glass former with SiO4 and AlO4 tetrahedron as the main framework will become enriched in certain regions and the network modifiers and metal ions are excluded from these regions. |
