[交流] 投稿OSA遇到的问题，就解答

投稿OSA，投出去第二天，他们官方发来一个邮件要我给一个基金捐款，在想是不是一定要捐，如果不捐会不会影响投稿呢，他们的邮件是这样写的

I hope you will join me this holiday season in acknowledging those individuals who have affected our lives in tremendous ways – mentors. Sir Isaac Newton said that we “stand on the shoulders of giants”. I believe that’s true.

You, as I, have likely been helped by someone remarkable – a “giant”, in their field. These individuals offered guidance and opportunity in ways we may never have previously experienced, setting the tone for our personal and professional growth. To honor these giants, the OSA Foundation established the Honor Your Mentor program to remind us all of the important roles mentors have in our careers and lives. This year, OSAF is dedicating the week of November 28th 2016 to this cause. OSAF has labeled this as “Mentor Week”, which will be a time to give thanks and celebrate those who have had a lasting impact on us.

I ask that you join me in submitting a recognition to honor your mentor. You can submit a tribute electronically at osa.org/mentor. You will be asked to donate $19.16 in honor of OSA’s founding in 1916. These funds will be used to develop new programs that cultivate early-career professionals in optics so that they can serve as the next generation of mentors in our community. 100 percent of the funds go toward programming and in addition OSA will match your donation dollar-for-dollar. Mentor acknowledgments will be posted to our recognition board and will be shared on the OSA Twitter account @OpticalSociety. Your honoree will also receive email notification of your tribute.

Join me in giving thanks this holiday season and honor your mentor today.
