第二,在SEA-2样品热处理过程中,Eu3+离子发光减弱同时Eu2+离子发光增强,作者认为在均匀化热处理中一部分Eu3+转变为Eu2+,并结合对结构的分析与检测给出一个还原机理,Eu3+与玻璃中的Al-O与Si-O非桥氧键结合,形成Eu3+-O-Si与Eu3+-O-Al键,从红外光谱中850cm-1附近出现峰可以得到证实,此时玻璃结构变化不大。当温度达到600℃时,Eu3+-O-Si与Eu3+-O-Al进一步结合成Si-O-Eu2+-O-Al键,使得红外光谱中850cm-1附近消失而在570cm-1附近出现新峰,其为O-Eu-O的面内弯曲振动峰,此时红外光谱向高波数移动,说明玻璃结构变得紧密。

Secondary, the heat treated SEA-2 sample had a decrease with Eu3+ emission accompanied with an increase with Eu2+ emission. It is the authors' believe that during the homogenization and heating process, a portion of Eu3+ was converted to Eu2+. A reduction mechanism was proposed based on several analysis on the structure.  Eu3+ first couples with Al-O and Si-O through non-covalent bondings to form Eu3+-O-Si and Eu3+-O-Al, as indicated in the peak near 850cm-1 in the IR spectrum. At this point no major structural changes in the glass was found. When heated at 600℃, Eu3+-O-Si and Eu3+-O-Al further interacted with each other and resulted in a Si-O-Eu2+-O-Al complex, which is indicated as the disappearance of the  850cm-1 peak and the emerging new peak near 570cm-1,  O-Eu-O in-plane bending vibration peak. At this point the IR spectrum moved to the higher wave-number, indicating changes had occurred to the glass structure.
