[交流] 新加坡南洋理工大学材料科学方向招聘博后

Position as postdoctoral fellow in Modelling Electrochemical Catalysis.

Nanyang Technological University announces an open position as postdoctoral fellow for theoretical chemical research with the specific goal of predicting electrochemical catalysis properties of metal oxides, such as MnO2, Co3O4 and NiO. This research will be part of an initiative focusing on the determination of fundamental properties of metal oxide materials employing density functional theory (DFT) calculations. The research fits in a broad, over-arching goal to develop the ability to use advanced computational tools to reliably predict electrochemical catalysis properties of metal oxides, which will have a close collaboration with the experimental research at the same group.
The research will be based at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore with Prof. Zhichuan J. Xu in close collaboration with University of Cambridge (UK) and Beijing University of Chemical Technology (China). The project will involve research visits to both the Cambridge and Beijing groups.

Qualifications
Applicants should have (or be about to obtain) a PhD degree in theoretical/computationalchemistry or physics. Good communication skills, fluency in English, and experience with (periodic) DFT calculations from VASP (or corresponding codes) are essential.

Conditions
Duration: 1 years, starting January 1st 2017 (or later on mutual agreement).

Salary: Depending on qualifications and experience.
