operation process of  single-phase linear transformer is simulated based on serial-parallel conversion model  of Matlab. Transformer is one of the most important equipment in power system and provides a reliable and uninterrupted energy source for the economic development of our country. Therefore, it is  significant to study the operation characteristics of the transformer.  Firstly,  the mathematical model of the transformer no-load operation, load operation and equivalent circuit parameters are given. And a conversion formul of standard values of excitation parameters for series parallel model is proposed, which makes the calculations of single-phase linear transformer model more accurate. Finally, simulation model of the transformer in operation state  is established by using Matlab/Simulink. The simulation results show that  ratio of no-load operation is equal to U1/ U2; excitation current value calculated by TTSC is more  accurate;  adding instantly load to the transformer£¬I2, I1 increased and U2 decreased slightly; abnormal transient backward sharp vibration occurs to U2 after offloading; after  load short circuit, fault current is 7 times bigger  than the normal load current,  providing theoretical support for the diagnosis of transformer overload operation.
