量子级联激光器的一些基本问题

小弟目前在做一些关于QCL的研究,看了很多书籍,有一些基本的原理实在不是很理解,求各位大神帮助 首先有一个基本的概念不是很理解,比如下图中的Longitudinal optical phonon,请问这个声子对upper state 的 lifetime究竟有什么影响呢 还有就是下面这段描述 Here should be noted, that in polar semiconductor compounds, for sufficiently high energy differences, intersubband nonradiative lifetimes are limited by the emission of optical phonons which are characterised by nearly constant dispersion [5]. At the same time, the electron phonon scattering matrix element is inversely proportional to the difference delta p between the initial and the final momentums of electronic states. Thus, it is obvious, that if the energy gap between ground state and the first excited state is larger than the optical phonon energy, the electron transition time from the second excited state into the first excited state is longer than that from the first excited state into the ground state, which provides the population inversion. 请问上述的 intersubband nonradiative lifetimes 是如何受optical phonons控制的。 万分感激T T |
