Herein, we introduce a simple and scalable top-down strategy for the phase- and morphology-controlled synthesis of FePO4¡¤2H2O via the phosphation of ¦Â-FeOOH nanorods (nr), synthesised via hydrothermal hydrolysis of FeCl3 (Fig. 1). Subsequent annealing of the hydrated iron phos?phates leads to different polymorphs of FePO4.
