A PhD Position (Materials) is available at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Nebraska, US, starting in Jan 2017. PhD candidate should have a master degree and research experience in one of these fields: alloy/ceramic processing, corrosion, electron microscopy, or irradiation damage. The research will develop develop advanced materials that can endure extreme environments, such as high temperature, irradiation, and corrosive liquid or gas, in next-generation nuclear energy, petroleum, and aeronautic systems. The successful candidate will join a thriving research group at the department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL).
