Applications are invited for PhD student positions in the group of Prof.
G.A. Cisneros in the Department of Chemistry at the University of North
Texas (UNT) and the Center for Advanced Scientific Computation and Modeling (CASCaM).
The laboratory of Professor Cisneros focuses on the development of advanced
methods and their application to investigate Chemical and Biochemical systems
including DNA repair enzymes, ionic liquids and inorganic systems (broadly
defined).

Applicant must have a BS or MS degree with a demonstrated record of innovative
scientific accomplishments as evidenced by GPA, TOEFL, GRE and/or papers
published or accepted in premier journals.

Qualified candidates must be able to work independently, demonstrate
outstanding communication skills, have a strong commitment to science, and
work well within a group.

Established in 1890 and located in the greater Dallas metroplex, UNT is one of the
nation’s largest public universities with 37,000 students and a is classified as one
of the 115 "highest research" universities in the country, according to the US' Carnegie
Classification of Institutions of Higher Education.
