摘要
In comparison with photocatalytic process, the catalytic degradation of organic dye pollutants in no need of light irradiation is highly interesting from the energy-saving point of view. In this paper, we developed a new CeGeO4 catalyst that can satisfy the energy-saving requirements in this regard. During the synthesis of CeGeO4, the influence of synthetic medium pH, the kind of precursor, etc., on the formation of crystalline CeGeO4 was investigated in detail. Importantly, the CeGeO4 catalyst exhibited significantly higher performance than that of CeGeO4/CeO2 or CeO2 in degradation of rhodamine B (RhB) or methylene blue (MB) in the dark at room temperature. 摘要
Development of visible-light-responsive photocatalyst is significantly important in treatment of environmental pollution with sustainable solar energy. In this paper, a new visible-light-responsive photocatalyst, HgSe, was successfully prepared by a simple hydrothermal method. The HgSe photocatalyst showed higher photocatalytic activity than that of Degussa P25 (commercial TiO2) in degradation of rhodamine B (RhB) and methyl orange (MO) dyes under irradiation of visible light. The active species of HgSe for the RhB degradation are found to be photogenerated holes and superoxide anion radicals. The HgSe photocatalyst can be reused for at least three cycles without obvious loss of its activity in degradation of RhB. (C) 2015 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

摘要
A series of carbon-modified antimony sulfide (Sb2S3) composites were prepared by facile hydrothermal-carbonization method using glucose as carbonaceous resource. The composites were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), ultraviolet-visible diffuse reflectance spectrum (UV-vis DRS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and photoluminescence (PL) techniques. The photocatalytic activity of the composites was tested in degradation of methyl orange (MO) dye under irradiation of visible light. The carbon content of the composites plays an important role in the photocatalytic degradation. The photocatalytic activity of carbon-modified Sb2S3 composites is higher than that of pure Sb2S3. The higher photocatalytic activity of the carbon-modified Sb2S3 photocatalysts can be attributed to their higher adsorption capacity and higher separation efficiency of photogenerated carriers.
