[交流] 【转帖】Faculty Position in Isotope Geochemistry【已搜索无重复】

The Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences of the University of Houston invites applicants for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the broad field of isotope geochemistry. We especially encourage applicants with experience in stable isotope geochemistry, but will also consider applicants in radiogenic isotope geochemistry, whose research can be applied to any of a wide range of problems in Earth , atmospheric, and/or planetary sciences. The successful candidate will have access to modern analytical facilities including stable isotope (O, H, C, S) mass spectrometers, (U+Th)/He thermochronology facilities, a Quadrupole ICP-MS equipped with a 213 nm laser ablation microprobe, ICP-OES, electron microprobe, SEM, TEM, XRD, clean labs, fully capable organic and petroleum geochemistry labs, a hydro-chemistry lab and rock and mineral preparation facilities. The Department has also recently acquired funding for a MC-ICP-MS that will be operational in early 2009. This will allow an extended range of isotope capabilities.
Candidates are sought who have the ability to conduct transformational research in their discipline and who have a demonstrated record of exceptional research productivity and peer-reviewed publication, a strong potential for external research funding, a strong national or international reputation in their field of interest, and outstanding teaching and mentoring skills. Successful candidates will be expected to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
