Effect of friction behavior and wear mechanism for Al22Si5Fe3Cu1Mg high-silicon aluminum alloy manufactured using two processes of conventional casting and injection molding at different temperatures is studied. The result shows that high-silicon aluminum alloy manufactured using injection molding has finer grain and uniform composition of organizational characteristics and better abrasion and wear properties compared with that made by conventional casting. As the temperature increases, the wear mechanism of the material to change. Study found that for high-alumina alloy, when the temperature exceeds the critical temperature, wear mechanism of two materials change into high load layer wear with wear rate increased dramatically from low load wear . However, the high silicon aluminum from injection molding delays 100 ℃ than that from conventional cast , although the occurrence of layer wear but wear rate is lower. |
