We used alumina powder to reduce EU3+ to Eu2+ in the glass matrix, and the ratio of Eu3+ to Eu2+ can be controlled by using various amounts of alumina. In addition, we also found that during the heating and homogenization process the ratio of Eu3+ to Eu2+ also changes. The light emission from both types of Eu ions is significantly enhanced as the crystallization is completed.
