一般美国很多高校都认为中国政府资助的钱(1400-1800美元)不够当地的生活标准，大多数学校认为他们的生活标准在2500美元/月左右，对国家公派的会以中国政府资助的最低额度1400美元为基准，所以相差缺口较大。我当时联系的时候，外方教授说他用科研经费补齐剩下的1100美元/月。当然还有一个中国教授帮我出主意，让单位出一个额外资助的证明。他说他接受的几个中国访问学者都是这样变通处理的，并且发了东北师范大学一位老师的模板给我。然后我也依葫芦画瓢，让单位人事处盖了章，扫描给了美国的大学。然后就通过了。模板如下： Certificate of Financial Support To whom it may concern, This is to certify that ×××(name), male, born on mm/dd/year, is a professor of School of ××××××, Northeast Normal University, China. He has been awarded a scholarship from the National Scholarship Fund by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) to pursue his studies in the United States as a visiting scholar. The Stipend is USD 1400-1800 per month for a period of six months. In view of this, to support his studies further, he will also be awarded a further scholarship of USD 1100 per month from Northeast Normal University Scholarship Fund, which will help him with his living costs and incidental expenses for a period of 12 months. Any assistance or advice you can provide Dr. ×××’s studies in USA will be very much appreciated. Sincerely Yours, Director of the Department of Personnel |
