The program is based on a four-term form of the Philip series solution (1957) of a one-dimensional form of the Richards equation. http://www.epa.gov/ada/csmos/models/chemflo.html CHEMFLO is a one-dimensional screening level model for simulation of the movement of water and chemicals in unsaturated soils. Water movement is described using Richards equation.
