what is the ideal microstructure for fracture toughness of Al alloys? apart from: 1. no constituents, 2. small grain size 3. no grain boundary precipitates 4. no pfz But how to understand effects of nano-sized precipitates from point view of interactions between precipitates and dislocations? is it true that ideal strength+ideal ductility = ideal toughness?
