Postdoctoral position in Drug Design and discovery

Position: Postdoctoral fellow in Drug Design and discovery, under the supervision of Dr. Jian Hui Wu, McGill University, Montreal, Canada. This position is available immediately. Project description: Dr Wu’s laboratory has ongoing projects to discover novel anticancer or antivirus agents by integrating structure-based drug design, medicinal chemistry and biological assays. The tasks of this postdoc position include: i) Identification of novel compound candidates for new targets and optimization of initial active compounds; ii) Investigation of target/ligand interactions by molecular dynamics simulations; and iii) Development of in-house software to repurpose FDA-approved drugs for new targets. Qualifications: Candidates should have M.Sc. in medicinal chemistry/molecular biology and Ph.D. in structure-based drug design, with the Ph.D. degree obtained in 2015 or later.
