the current transients were measured in a deaerated 4 M NaCl solution at 80 C with an applied potential of 0.1 VSCE at which metastable pitting can occur. The current transients were recorded at a sampling frequency of 10 Hz during a period of 5400 s. The SEM was used to observe the pitting sites on the specimen after the potentiostatic measurements. |
