post doc position in medical image analysis, University of Calgary
|
|
现University of Calgary, Department of clinical neuroscience , 有一个post doc 位置空缺, 主要做医学图像处理,据了解,salary is very competitive, 更重要的是研究成果很有可能发表在very high impact clinical and technical journals. 基本要求如下。如果感兴趣的可以先跟我联系(qiu.wu.ch@gmail.com), 我会提供更详细的信息。 您也可以直接跟PI联系。 The Calgary Stroke Program has a post-doctoral fellowship opening for computer science or biomedical engineering graduates with a strong medical image processing background. The appointed post-doctoral fellow will join a collaborative team of stroke neurologists, interventional neuroradiologists, and imaging scientists to develop new imaging analysis software for applications in acute stroke imaging. This analysis software will include at a minimum the following features: automated rigid and non-linear registration of medical images from the same or different imaging modalities/patients including CT and MR. The images may also be either non-contrast enhanced or contrast enhanced; automated high-level segmentation methods for extraction of anatomical structures from CT and MR datasets, e.g. using level-set or fast marching methods. Of particular relevance is experience in automated segmentation of blood vessels from either contrast enhanced CT or MR images. The developed analysis software will be tested using the largest comprehensive acute stroke imaging databases available anywhere. The Calgary Stroke Program is an internationally recognized team of researchers and clinicians recognized for its transformative approach to acute stroke care. The Program sees more than 1800 stroke patients a year. In addition, it leads many multi-center international clinical and imaging trials. The Imaging Core Lab at the Calgary Stroke Program is involved in numerous national and international trials, and is a repository for one of the largest stroke imaging databases anywhere in the world. This position is sponsored by the University of Calgary’s Eyes High Post Doctoral strategy and targets candidates of the highest caliber with track records that would be competitive for national or international fellowships. This 2-year postdoc fellowship includes a very competitive stipend plus health benefits. Interested applicants should send a CV, a statement of experience, and the names and contact information of three referees to: Dr. Bijoy K. Menon Assistant Professor Department of Clinical Neurosciences University of Calgary Email: docbijoymenon@gmail.com |
