I will be short : AFM images from print screen operation should never be used. Please refer to your Agilent apparatus manual and save in an appropriate form a high quality image. I have never work with that specific apparatus, but characters should be legible. If they are not, than the dimension of the image could be indicated by adding a fiducial mark on it and the linear z-axis scale clearly indicated or in the caption or on the side of the z-axis false-color scale bar or both. Figure 3 is currently not readable. Please provide only the 2D representation of the height matrix, add a clear z-axis scale bar. - The y-axis titles should be oriented to read from bottom to top in all graphs. - Once reduced (or enlarged) to 8.25 cm overall journal column width, all characters within a figure, including subscripts and superscripts, should be at least 1.5 mm height and all lines, including axes, tick marks and data curves, should be at least 0.25 pt. Note that the maximum overall width and height of composite figures are 17.5 and 21-22 cm, respectively. |
