[交流] 论文不能写成广告已有2人参与

前些天审了某大学的一篇稿子，觉得挺有代表性，现把评审意见的一部分贴出来。
写论文不能写成广告。

General remarks:
This work describes the results from screening of Penicillium strains for the production of β-fructofuranosidase (FFase) and enzymatic synthesis of fructooligosaccharides (FOS).

The authors concluded that i) among the strains, Penicillium citreonigrum was the best for FFase production; ii) the optimized conditions for the FFase production were pH 6.5, temperature 25.5 C, fermentation time 67.8 h and without any yeast extract, subsequently, the highest FFase activity of 313.33 and 232.16 U/mL was obtained in shake flasks and in a 2 L bioreactor, respectively; iii) The FOS mixture catalyzed by the produced FFase contained GF2 (52.5 g/L), GF3 (4.5 g/L) and GF4 (1.7 g/L).

The topic is in general very interesting. However, the authors provide the readers with only routine laboratory work in the case of screening, optimization, bioreactor fermentation and FOS synthesis. The current representation of the results is more like advertising, rather than a paper to explore or solve a specific problem. In summary, the value of a paper work lies in what the readers get from it.

I cannot find any trace of novelty in this paper. I don't recommend publication.
