文章按照编辑意见修回后已经快两个月了，想写信催下，实验室没有先例，想问下我这样写是否合适？请有类似经历的畅所欲言，谢谢！

Sorry for disturbing you. I am not sure if it is the right time to contact you to inquire about the status of my submitted manuscript titled “XXXX” (PHYMED-XXXXXX). I submitted the revised manuscript in late May and then the status of the manuscript has always been “Under Editor Assessment” for more than one month.
The first author is a candidate for a doctor's degree. The quality and quantity of a candidate's accepted papers are directly linked to his study duration to much extent. That is to say the later his paper number fulfills the requirement, the later he leaves the university. The manuscript I've submitted to your journal may be one of the last papers before he leaves the university. Please understand me that fast publication of our work is important for my student.
I fully understand your careful consideration and responsible attitude to my manuscript and will observe any decisions you will make on my manuscript. Meanwhile, as a proverb goes that time and tide wait for no man, I've always maintained that the publication interval of an issue should become as important as the quality of an international famous journal such as Phytomedicine from the viewpoints of both an editor and a reader.
I would be greatly appreciated if you could spend some of your time check the status for us. Thank you very much for your consideration.
