Assistant / Associate Professor- Marketing

SKEMA Business School is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant / Associate Professor in Marketing to begin on September 2017. Candidates must demonstrate high research and teaching potential with the motivation to engage in innovative teaching and research projects on a team and individual basis. The working and teaching language is English. Duties will be based in Suzhou, China (Jiangsu). Main responsibilities of the appointee: • Teach courses in English at different levels in Marketing (experience in teaching International Marketing, Brand management and/or luxury would be a plus) • Contribute to the development of high-quality courses in Marketing, programmes and research projects • Publish in peer-reviewed journals • Leader on core courses in the field of Marketing • Supervise MSc students • Participate to the institutional school life (internal / external) Requirements: • Hold a PhD in Marketing with a focus in branding / international marketing • Knowledge of the business context in China (via consulting activities or previous industry experience) will be taken into special consideration • Have published articles in peer reviewed journals or demonstrate a potential to publish in international • reviews by the high-quality work in progress • Research in one or more of the following areas is expected: consumer culture theory, consumer behaviour, sustainability, retailing (e-commerce, multichannel), knowledge economy • Demonstrate the ability to deliver excellent teaching in English at different levels, and provide a strong commitment to engage in innovative teaching • Be able to manage multicultural groups of students and to work in an international and multicultural team. • Strong teamwork and communication skills ABOUT SKEMA SKEMA Business School is an EQUIS and AACSB-accredited academic institution.
