Company: SKEMA Business School Location: Suzhou (Jiangsu), China Discipline: Entrepreneurship & Strategy Employment Type: Permanent Full-time Description: Assistant/Associate Professor The Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Economics Department of SKEMA Business School is seeking applicants for an Assistant or Associate Professor position in Entrepreneurship & Strategy beginning on January 1st , 2017. The position is based on SKEMA's Suzhou campus, China. For applicants seeking an Associate Professor position, the successful candidate must have demonstrated excellence in research through peer-reviewed publications. For applicants seeking an Assistant Professor position, the successful candidate must possess a promising research potential. The successful candidate must possess a good track record in teaching. The position requires teaching in topics related to Entrepreneurship and Strategy. Ability to teach Entrepreneurship and Strategy related to the development of new technologies will be taken into special consideration. The successful candidate will be asked to interact with the local business and entrepreneurial eco-system. He or she will have a central role in the institutional and academic lives and will be asked to contribute to the development of the campus. He or she will be in charge of representing SKEMA Business School in the joint-incubator with Xian-Jiaotong as well as to coach students’ entrepreneurial projects in relationship with the incubator. Funding for conference attendance, research support, and access to most attractive databases (such as WRDS, ThomsonOne, and Bureau van Dijk) are provided. Requirements: For applicants for Associate Professorship: Essential minimum criteria 1. A recognized PhD degree in Management/Entrepreneurship/Innovation or Strategy. 2. Evidence of a publication track record in peer reviewed international journals. 3. Experience in initiating and leading research projects in a multi-disciplinary and/or multi-cultural and/or Chinese context. 4. Knowledge of the Chinese business environment in general, and the country’s ecosystem of entrepreneurship and innovation in particular. 5. A proven ability to deliver excellent teaching. 6. Ability to teach in English. Desirable characteristics 1. Knowledge of Chinese will be taken into special consideration. 2. Experience in successful application of competitive research funding. 3. Strong record of industry, government, community and professional engagement. 4. Experience in executive education. For applicants for Assistant Professorship: Essential minimum criteria 1. A recognized PhD degree in Management/Entrepreneurship/Innovation or Strategy (candidates who will complete their PhD before September 1, 2016, should provide a written proof from their enrolled institution). 2. Ability to develop a coherent program of research. 3. Experience in undertaking research projects in a multi-disciplinary and/or multi-cultural and/or Chinese context. 4. Knowledge of the Chinese business environment in general, and the country’s ecosystem of entrepreneurship and innovation in particular. 5. A proven ability to deliver excellent teaching. 6. Ability to teach in English. Desirable characteristics 1. Knowledge of Chinese will be taken into special consideration. 2. Experience in industry, government, community and professional engagement. 3. Experience in teaching adult learners.
