感觉也是很具体的意见啊，洋洋洒洒写了那么多 1. Many of the *** described could be triggered by rapid deposition that is likely in a deltaic setting. The authors say that many of the **** in the**** Basin are associated with deltaic facies. I see that **** are present in facies other than the deltaic ones, but an argument against rapid deposition as a mechanism should be developed rather than assumed in the paper. 2. **** are shown to be present near the faults, but they are not shown to be absent away from the faults. It is also difficult to evaluate the dataset because it is not clear how much core was available. It is not clear from Figures 7 and 8 how much of the interval was cored and how much of the core showed **** versus did not show ***** This vagueness could be clarified with better legends for Figures 7 and 8 and some basic information in the text or a table about the number of wells that were cored and how many feet of core were available. Not knowing how much core was available makes the *************** inset plots in figures 7 and 8 particularly difficult to evaluate. The authors have access to core material that will not be available to many others and for that reason this paper will be of interest and add to the body of knowledge. |
