The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) has one PhD position available which starts from fall 2016. The successful candidate will join cutting-edge research projects in the area of spatial data mining, under the supervision of Prof. Ashok Samal (http://cse.unl.edu/~samal/#research). Perspective candidates are expected to hold a B.S. or M.S. degree in computer sciences, mathematics, remote sensing, or related majors. Previous research experience or demonstrated skills in data mining, machine learning, GIS or related areas will be a plus, particularly for M.S. degree holders.
