Lecturer/researcher position offer

A position as lecturer/researcher is available at Soochow University (Suzhou, China). The selected candidate will work on the fabrication, characterization and/or simulation of micro- and nano- electronic devices, specially focused on non-volatile memories, such as resistive random access memories. The selected candidate will have full access to AFM, SEM, TEM, Probestation, as well as ALD, CVD, Electron-beam evaporator and photolithography. Therefore, experience on these equipments will be highly valued. The selected candidate is also expected to supervise the research of the master students and review their experiments and research articles. This research project is developed in collaboration with Stanford University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and opportunities for academic exchange as well as participation in international conferences may be offered based on productivity. Apart from the research, the selected candidate will also have to teach bachelor and master students, as that is a requirement from Soochow University. Eligible candidates must:

1. Hold a PhD in applied sciences (Physics, Chemistry or Engineering)
2. Have research experience on the fabrication/characterization/simulation of 2D materials.
3. Be able to communicate in spoken and written English and Chinese.
4. Be willing to write research proposals for NSFC and other funding agencies.

Our laboratory is located in Suzhou, a city just 30 minutes from Shanghai by high speed train. The Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) is a new district full of universities, research institutes, start-up companies and multinational branch offices, which provides an excellent environment for collaboration and technology transfer. The salary offered will range between 100,000 and 130,000 CNY per year, depending on the value of the candidate.
