With this in mind,it has been seen that the "Daubechies10" or "db10" mother wavelet is highly suitable for arc detction where the frequency range is set at 93 kHz or more, the sampling frequency is set at 300 kHz and no anti-aliasing filter is applied. Since it has also been seen that indicators of arcing lie at the zero cross points of the current signal, the zero cross points determine when sampling is triggered. Thus a window size for the sampling frequency of 300 kHz is set as 28.35 degrees such that at least one of either the re-trike or extinguish events of an arc will be caught within the window.
