[交流] 关于流域水环境污染控制技术与管理策略国际学术研讨会的通知

International Symposium on Science, Technology and Policy for Water Pollution Control at Watershed Scale
April 10-12, 2009, Hangzhou, China,
Deadline for Abstract: December 31, 2008
Introduction
Significant international effort has been made to protect our environment over the past decades, however, environmental problems remain and becoming worse in many places around the world, especially problems related to river and stream pollution, lake eutrophication, water quality degradation and drinking water safety. Continued water pollution affects efficient water resources uses, impairs the integrity of aquatic ecosystems and threatens human health. These environmental problems have become a bottleneck obstacle to the sustainable development.
An international symposium will be held from April 10-12, 2009, in Hangzhou, China, to specifically address water related environmental issues. The symposium aims to promote the international research on technology and policy for water pollution control and provide a platform for international experts in related fields to cooperate and exchange state-of-the-art research experiences in agricultural non-point source pollutant control technologies, innovative riverine system management and polices, water quality improvement practices, and drinking water safety. Abstracts should be submitted to the secretary of the symposium at water_2009@163.com, by no later than December 31, 2008.

Abstract and Paper Submission
The abstract should be no more than two pages (A4 paper), and the full paper should be limited to fewer than eight (8) pages and should include introduction, objectives, methods, results and discussion. Electronic submission (Word or pdf documents) is encouraged by emailing abstracts and papers to water_2009@163.com or water2009@globalchange.msu.edu. Important Dates
September 30, 2008: First call for abstracts;
December 31, 2008: Deadline for abstract submission;
January 15, 2009: First notice to participants, call for full paper submission, and logistic information;
March 15, 2009: Full paper due and final lodging reservation;
April 10–12, 2009: Symposium.

流域水环境污染控制技术与管理策略国际学术研讨会
2009年4月10日-12日,浙江杭州
摘要提交截止日期:2008年12月31日
我国水污染控制虽然取得积极进展,但水环境问题依然突出,突出表现为主要河流污染未能得到有效遏制,湖泊水库富营养化问题严重,河流水环境质量退化,饮用水安全受到威胁等。水环境污染呈流域(区域)性、布局性、结构性等特点。长期严重的水污染问题影响着水资源利用和水环境生态系统完整性,影响着人民身体健康,已经成为制约经济社会可持续发展的重大瓶颈。
举办此次国际会议旨在推动国内外流域水环境污染控制技术与管理政策方面的研究,促进相关领域知名专家、学者的合作与交流,从环境科学、技术、模拟模型、农业管理、政策法规等广泛领域探索和讨论构建农业面源污染减排技术集成体系、创新面源污染河流水环境管理体制机制、改善流域水环境质量、保障饮用水安全方面的观点和经验。
会议将于2009年4月10日-12日在浙江省杭州市举行,会议语言为英语。现将本次会议相关事宜通知如下:
